How Do Idol Finalists Rank On Twitter? - ainow.com

Twitter was launched in July of 2006 and since then has become integrated into the daily lives of many people, and the American Idol finalists are no exception. Whether it be to announce a new concert date or album information or just answer some fan questions, many of America's household names stay connected with their fans on twitter.

As we await a new crop of talent this year, I thought it would be fun to take a look back at the past ten seasons of American Idol and see how the finalists rank in terms of followers.

#12 isn't too bad- I'm kind of surprised Haley came in at #16 considering she almost never tweets. Give it time- wait til Pia's album is released, she'll get to a half million followers, if not more, with ease!

Hmmmm #12 am sure she will go higher just need the album to come out and let her skyrocket then!!!

#12 for ninth place is not bad AT ALL! She even beat Lee Dewyze too, surprising he was that low. I agree with you all, once the album comes out her followers will be adding up like crazy. It's already going up at a pretty good speed right now ever since the name change.

Well....I think Pia is going to, if she isn't already, be more popular than Lee Dewyze.  I think Pia's being #12 on the all time list in great, considering that shes ony been off AI for a few months!

Just goes to show she has many loyal fans. She may not have gotten the votes but in the end it won't matter because she is well on her way to the stardom she was destined for!!! I'm sure when the album comes out and the promo begins the number of fans will only go up.
